“Yet God has made everything beautiful for its own time.” – Ecclesiastes 3:11a (NLT)
Hey sis,
Ever scrolled through Instagram or TikTok and thought, “She’s already married? She just launched a business? Wait, she’s living in her dream apartment while I’m still figuring out what’s next?”
Yeah. You’re not alone.
Sometimes life can feel like a race we didn’t sign up for, and somehow… we’re already behind. Whether it’s waiting for a relationship, clarity in your career, healing from something heavy, or just trying to grow spiritually—it’s easy to wonder, “What’s taking so long, God?”
But here’s the truth: God’s timing is never off. Even when it feels like you’re stuck in the waiting room of life, He’s still moving. Still working. Still writing a story that’s good, even if the current chapter is confusing.
Ecclesiastes 3:11 tells us that God makes everything beautiful in its own time—not in our friends’ time, not in society’s timeline, but in His perfect one.
And guess what? Being “behind” in the world’s eyes doesn’t mean you’re behind in God’s plan.
Sometimes He delays the “yes” because He’s protecting you. Sometimes He’s building your character, deepening your roots, and preparing something you couldn’t handle just yet. His pauses are never pointless. They're part of the process.
Instead of comparing timelines, what if we celebrated that God is working uniquely in each of us? That your journey might not look like hers, but it’s just as important, just as powerful, and just as loved by God.
So take a breath. You’re not late. You’re right where you need to be.
Prayer:
Dear God,
Sometimes I feel like I’m behind. Like I missed something or that everyone else is moving faster than me. But I choose to believe that Your timing is perfect, even when I don’t understand it. Help me trust You more and stop comparing my journey to someone else’s. I know You’re still writing my story—and it’s going to be beautiful. In Jesus’ name, amen.
Let’s Reflect:
What area of your life feels “behind” right now? How does that make you feel?
What would it look like to surrender that timeline to God?
Have you ever seen God’s timing work out better than your own plan?
How can you celebrate your own journey—right where you are?
Final Thought:
God’s not rushing you, and He’s definitely not finished with you. So walk at His pace, breathe deeply, and keep showing up. He’s got you—and your timing is safe in His hands. 💛
